Ocean Foundation is a non profit organisation making ocean plastic a thing of the past. It all starts with the simple act of cleaning up the coastlines; the beaches and ocean fronts.
Our goal is to end ocean plastics for good!
Over 8 million tonnes of plastics enter our oceans each year. This waste clogs waterways, damages fragile ecosystems, kills marine life (and the local fishing industry in the process), and compromises the sanitation of beachside communities. Something has to be done, now!
Give the Komodo islands a clean beach. Help us get our boots on the ground in Flores, Indonesia. 3 different locations of which 2 in the world famous Komodo national park. We’re working with local communities in some of the most plastic-damaged regions to create permanent cleaning hubs – hiring staff on the ground and providing the tools to help clean up local beaches, now and long into the future.

All over the world Beach clean up events are organized by Ocean , its ambassadors and volunteers. All ocean loving enthusiasts roam the beaches in search of plastic. All plastic waste is collected, sorted, counted and taken to the appropriate recycling companies.

With our oceans, we’re in it for the long haul. And while our beach cleanups address the short-term issue of ocean waste, we’re also offering courses on ocean sustainability to equip people with the knowledge that could potentially futureproof the big blue.
